Building manufacturing communities to reinvigorate U.S. aerospace manufacturers
Who We Are
The Texas Defense Aerospace Manufacturing Community (TDAMC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation program as part of the Defense Manufacturing Communities (DMC) initiative.
Our mission is to introduce targeted smart manufacturing skills and technologies into the Texas defense aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. This ecosystem includes traditional and non-traditional contractors. We aim to meet current and future U.S. Department of Defense needs, including industrial surge production capability requirements.
TDAMC is led by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. We connect industry, government, research organizations, and academia to address key challenges within regional coalitions that make up Texas’ defense aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
Bringing National Imperatives to Local Impact
TDAMC is galvanizing a smart manufacturing ecosystem for defense aerospace manufacturing in Texas by injecting smart manufacturing skills and technologies to accelerate the growth of a strong, resilient, responsive and competitive supply chain.
